As a way of honoring someone special, many like to donate the cost of a choir anthem to the St. John's Music Ministry. In doing so, they can choose a dedication that we will print in the bulletin when the anthem is performed, and each copy will be so labeled. Most anthems are purchased in quantities of 25 and average about $42 total. If you are interested in choosing an anthem in this way this form can help you make that selection. The Music Director will contact you when one has been chosen that meets your criteria and tell you the cost. You may then submit your check to St. John's with the note "Music Memorial" in the Memo area.

Your thoughtfulness also helps us ensure we are able to continue to present the best quality music to you each week. We appreciate your generosity.

Please be sure to include all fields marked with asterisk (*).

First, those anthems shown in the yellow area are ALREADY AVAILABLE or are in the process of being ordered. If you see something in this list you like, then write the composer name and title into the first form field, complete your name, email address and phone, and click the SUBMIT button. You can skip everything else.

If you DON'T see what you want in this list, then complete the form to help us find you the right anthem to suit your needs.

O sing unto the Lord: Peter Aston An English cathedral anthem, contemporary idiom but very pretty harmony, based on Ps 96, moderate tempo, with organ, 4-part, general use $42.00
Come, follow me: John Carter 2-part contemporary anthem based on the tune you remember as "All through the night", main text is "Come, my child, you hear me calling, come follow me." Good for baptism, confirmation and general use, very pretty. Has been performed recently. $40.00
Holy God, we praise thy name: John Ferguson A beautiful, haunting arrangement of the familiar festival hymn by the same name, combines chant with the hymntune, weaving them in a dreamy way, moving to a full mid section, and concluding as it began. 4-part, general use. $42.00
Day by day: Martin How Called the best-selling anthem by the Royal College of Church Music, this is basically a 2-part anthem, with a contemporary melody put together with a soaring countermelody, very pretty. Has been performed recently. $38.00
Cross of Jesus, cross of sorrow: Lynette Maynard A beautiful 4-part anthem for Holy Week to the tune "Charlestown," which appears in our hymnal as "All who love and serve your city" #571. Has an early American sound, with piano. Meditative nature. $38.00
Easter praise!: Gilbert Martin This year's Easter anthem, four-part with brass and organ, written in toccata style over the tune "the strife is o'er" intermixed with free alleluias. $60.00
